(1) 1.17 Theater [movie duration: 7 min.] The Earthquake’s tremendous power and devastation are described on a large screen using dynamic audio-visual effects. Movie starts at 00, 20 and 40 every hour. (2) Streets immediately after the Quake Scenes immediately after the Earthquake are reproduced using dioramas. (3) The Great Earthquake Hall Documentary program is shown that describes how communities and residents have worked for reconstruction.

(4) Memories Corner Earthquake-related items and records are displayed together with remarks by contributors regarding their experience of the Quake. (5) Five (5) dioramas, showing the road to recovery from the earthquake The condition just after the earthquake and lives of people and cities during recovery from the earthquake are explained by messages and graphic images (dioramas). (6) Recital Corner Movies about what happened during and after the Quake are shown and Earthquake survivors talk about their experience.

(7) Station, providing the latest information of natural disasters This station provides the latest information of natural disasters, which have recently occurred in the world. (8) Workshop of disaster prevention and disaster mitigation At this workshop, visitors can learn practical expertise on disaster prevention and mitigation through experiments and games. (9)Gallery of disaster prevention for the future Various materials on disaster prevention for the future are exhibited.
